Woman’s health: A woman's body is a woman's temple
I want to share with you a sacred yogic tool to transform your body and health as it transformed mine, this is a yoga set specifically designed for women’s health.
From my mid to late 20’s I suffered from period irregularities and terrible menstrual pain, to the point that I had to stay resting in bed and couldn’t move. My period would dissapear for months and come back so strongly that I would dread that time of the month. There was nothing doctors or medicine could do and even though I was a keen yogi actively practicing vinyasa, ashtanga, shadow but had to stop my practice during my moon most months.
Then, I started Kundalini yoga and my yoga teacher recommeded this sequence. I decided to give it a go consistently for 40 days without a miss even though it was different to my usual practice, this sequence held poses for much longer than I was used to, my usual practice was dynamic and powerful.
After the first month however, EVERYTHING started to shift… my moon arrived and there was less pain, I started feeling different in my energy as well, softer, more feminine.
The 40 days turned into 90 and then I didn’t want to stop, the pain was less and less and eventually it was a memore, this set just became my daily ritual, if I could I would do the full times, if not at least a minute per posture. After about a year of consistent practice, I was regular for the first time in my life and I was loving connecting with my cycle, this entire process led me to understand the hormonal changes I was going through and to actually honour myself. I started loving my periods, loving being gentle with myself and taking this time to go within and do journaling and art.
I have practiced this set as my personal sadhana many times since and every time I connect with it in a different way and every time my body just loves it.
This set is very comprehensive, from a subtle anatomy perspective it works on the first and second chakra, the earth and water, softening and opening the body to stability and flow. It also involves to the fifth, sixth chakra and the aura, this is all about connecting with inner truth, with wisdom and a sense of inner and outer safety. This combination supports inner communication, ease and inner connection. From a western anatomy perspective, it brings health and relaxation to your ovaries - which is so needed as our ovaries absorb all our tension day by day - it also adjusts your hips, massages the digestive system, the reproductive organs and stimulates the gland, plus your nervous system, muscular system and skeletal system get a workout so your physical body feels open and full of vitality while your mind is at ease and relaxed.
This set is a gift for women.. It makes you radiant and beautiful from the inside out!
